Wassupper is a very rare form of spontaneous ritual that some Wassies gravitate towards in subconscious anticipation of their death. Wassies in close proximity seem to develop the behaviour simultaneously and without external triggers. When it happens it always does so amongst medium-sized groups of Wassies, independently of any other Wassies and without prior knowledge of the concept by the Wassies involved.

The phenomenon is not well understood, but one hypothesis is that when a group of Wassies in close proximity happen to share the same time of approaching death, a certain subconscious synergy can develop naturally. The common date of death shared amongst the group of Wassies increases their awareness of it in an amplified way, similar to wave interference.

This increased awareness, although not enough for the Wassies to be fully conscious of the concept of their imminent death, does lead to the development of a shared sense of reverence. The affected Wassies then subconsciously channel that sense into snacking, which is another commonly shared affection among them, leading to the phenomenon known as Wassupper.

During a Wassupper event, the Wassies gather together and partake in a shared meal, similar to the last supper. The meal typically consists of whatever snacks are readily available at the time, with no specific traditional dishes. The atmosphere during a Wassupper can very from solemn and reflective to exuberant and chaotic. Some believe that the ritual provides a sense of comfort and closure for the Wassies as they approach their final moments, allowing them to come to terms with their impending demise in a shared and communal way. It should be noted that most respected Wassie researchers dispute this idea, citing the general lack of awareness and intelligence of Wassies as a factor making this practically impossible.

Wassies have been known to spontaneously attempt to "baptize" each other during Wassupper rituals, using blueberry juice as the baptismal fluid. Some Wassies have been observed to develop strange, unexplained rituals in the days leading up to their Wassupper, such as arranging blueberries in specific patterns.
