Some Wassies just wake up, get out of their bed, and look good. Unfortunately, fuzzy Wassies (known colloquially as Fuzzies) are not that lucky.

Fuzzies are identified by their amazing cloudy fur which feel like velvet to the touch. The downside of being a soft walking plush however is that it is an invitation in Wassie societies for other Wassies to caress, lie on and play with. Fuzzies are also often used as pillows at night by other Wassies which messes up their beautiful fur.

Constant attention impairs the sleep quality of Fuzzies and they are a strain known for frequent nightmares. Due to consistent sleep deprivation, Fuzzies tend to be far less alert and intellectually capable than other Wassies, resulting in Fuzzies having a much lower life expectancy in the wild. Their thick coat of fur does allow Fuzzies to tolerate extreme cold temperatures (due to the increased thermal isolation) and so Fuzzies have been observed sneaking into the deep freezer to get away from Wassie society when the presence of other Wassies become unbearable.

Fuzzies are popular with Wassie-lovers given the texture of their fur and Fuzzies in captivity have been observed hiding gifts from their keepers in their thick fur. Although Fuzzies tend to be hunted by humans for their fur when they first emerge in a human environment, the fact that their fur dematerializes shortly after the Wassie dies tends to ensure that the period of hunting is not a prolonged one
