When a Wassie finds a cowboy hat and places it on its head, a transformation occurs. The Wassie suddenly believes it is a gunslinger in the Wild West, complete with bravado and swagger. Unfortunately, these Wassies attempts to live out their cowboy fantasies often fall short, as their innate Wassie clumsiness overshadows any semblance of the skilled gunslinger they imagine themselves to be.
Cowboy Hat Wassies are known for challenging other Wassies to showdowns, drawing imaginary weapons and attempting to outdo their opponents in a duel. However, their complete lack of coordination and understanding of how a showdown actually works results in comical displays of ineptitude. The excitement of the showdown quickly dissolves into a hilarious scene of stumbling Wassies and misplaced bravado.
Embracing their newfound cowboy identities, Cowboy Hat Wassies can be found wandering around the Wassie community, attempting to enforce their own brand of Wild West justice. They often patrol the borders of a Wassie community, confronting any perceived threats or outlaws, though their efforts typically culminate in confusion and harmless mishaps.
