The revered wassie physician @lank dracon vasilis ή io has confirmed that Wassies are invertebrate, but can be stuffed with bones post-mortem to give them a vertebrate appearance when x-rayed. No one is quite sure why this ritual bone-stuffing is performed by the Outcasts, but it is rumoured to give the dead wassie “structure for display purposes”.
