Wassies love doughnuts. They love the sight of the beautiful rainbow sparkles and the perfect pink shine of the strawberry flavored cream. The heavenly smell of the pastry when it is first baked and the enduring sweetness that remains when it goes stale. The bounciness of the fresh doughnut and the firmness of an old one. The taste of it must surely be out of this world!

Though Wassies go to great length to procure doughnuts, there has not been a single known instance of the Wassie actually eating the doughnut. This appears to be due to the fact that Wassies who are successfully at procuring doughnuts simply cannot bear to eat them and instead choose to store the doughnuts for later on their heads. They balance it as carefully as a Wassie can on their heads like a crown, eagerly looking forward to the day it can eat it.

Unfortunately that day rarely comes for the doughnut is in itself a curse. Wassies with doughnuts often have to fend off other Wassies who want to claim the sugary treat for their own. Even if the Wassie is in an objectively safe space, the mere ownership of the doughnut induces extreme paranoia in the Wassie, leading to insomnia, social exclusion and depression. But never once will the Wassie consider just eating the doughnut.

That deliciousness must be saved for another day
