Jurgen Klopp may not be a son of Merseyside but he understands and perhaps that is why he would like to be succeeded by retired legend Steven Gerrard.

Klopp is not planning to walk out on his project at Anfield any time soon, he remains very dedicated to the club he looks set to take back into the Champions League next season. 

However, as a student of the club’s history, Klopp knows the importance of keeping the stars of the past involved with the club after they have retired from playing.
